The Green Beetle is the place where Feinkost Käfer celebrates vegetarian and vegan food. For Mauritz Design, this is the perfect opportunity: to explore how innovative recycling can be.
Walls filled with straw and nutshells, tiles fired from shards and the parquet flooring of a former gymnasium are integrated into the interior. In this way, sustainability can be experienced in a haptic way. Some of the fabrics used are woven from plastic, lights are made from waste such as tobacco or hemp. Outside, there are chairs by MATER with seats and backrests made from recycled fishing nets and hard plastic from the ocean.
